FD Worlds – Day 2

The day started with postponement, due to lack of wind. In the afternoon two races were completed in gradually strengthening winds. Race 3 was won by Majthényi–Domokos team with an impressive margin. Their great rivals, the Bojsen-Moller brothers (DEN 21) finished 3rd.

Race 4 started in fresh breeze, gradually increasing to Bft 5-6. Many boats had technical problems, more than 30 of them had to retire from the race. Among the non-finishers were local heroes Majthenyi–Domokos, who decided to withdraw from this race after an encounter with the right of way Bojsen-Moller boat at the windward mark. Meanwhile the Dutch duo Kramer and Geelkeren managed to stay consistent, they are leading the pack posting a 5th and a bullet today. Second overall are the German team of Lüdtke–Schafers, who were the best performing boat today with two second places.

Top 3 after 4 races:

1. NED 26. Kramer – Geelkerken

2. GER 88 Lüdtke – Schafers

3. AUT 38 Aichholzer – Zingerle

Another 2 races are planned on Wenesday.
